Man Arrested on Suspicion of Murder After Woman Found Dead in Street

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman was found seriously injured in the street last night, police said. Officers were called to Catherine Gardens in Thorpe St Andrew, outside Norwich, just before 11.45pm on Saturday following reports of a woman injured in the street. Emergency services attended but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. A man, in his 60s, was arrested in Dereham Road in Norwich on Sunday morning on suspicion of murder. Seals are in place in both locations and Yarmouth Road is closed between the Pound Lane and School Avenue junctions, a statement by Norfolk Constabulary adds.
