TSX Stocks: Identifying Oversold & Overbought Opportunities in 2026

The S&P/TSX Composite climbed another 1.3 per cent for the trading week ending with Friday’s close and is already up 4.3. per cent for 2026. According to Relative Strength Index (RSI), the benchmark is overbought and vulnerable to a temporary pullback. The RSI reading of 74 is well over the sell signal of 70. There are four stocks trading with attractive, oversold RSIs below the buy signal of 30. Constellation Software Inc. is the most oversold company followed by Altus Group Ltd., Intact Financial Corp. and Open Text Corp. The list of overbought, technically vulnerable index constituents is sizeable at 49 members. The most overbought stocks are Granite REIT, Artis REIT, Franco-Nevada Corp., Dream Industrial REIT and Cameco Corp. The list of stocks showing strong price momentum by hitting new 52-week highs is as big as I’ve ever seen it at 48 members. I’ve listed the biggest 25 of these companies ranked by market capitalization in a table below. The five biggest companies making new highs are Bank of Montreal, Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, Suncor Energy Inc., Cameco Corp. and Franco-Nevada.
