Truro City's Remarkable Character Shines in Brackley Draw

Truro City showed "a lot of character" to get back into the game in their 3-3 draw with Brackley Town. The Tinners were 2-0 down early in the second half on Tuesday, but fought back to lead 3-2 with 20 minutes to go before conceding four minutes later. "It's two points dropped when you're 3-2 up," manager John Askey told BBC Radio Cornwall. "I'm disappointed in the goals that we gave away, but i thought the way that we played to come from being 2-0 down shows a lot of character. "It was encouraging the way that we play, encouraging that we've got three goals, but the mistakes that we made for the goals that's cost us tonight." While Askey was left to rue errors that ultimately cost his side three vital points - they are four points from safety - he says he can see progress. Advertisement "First half we created one or two chances and stuff they've been doing in training, we looked good," he added. "It's just daft errors, like the first goal giving the ball away, trying to turn with the ball and losing the ball, then it goes back into the box and we concede a header where the man's not picked up. "But there's a lot of good points and you can see that we've improved from the start of the season and if we can keep improving then it'll give us a great chance." Related internet links
