Toronto Pro Poker Player Accused of Sex Assault

A professional poker player is accused of sexually assaulting a woman, and Toronto police say there may be more victims. Police received a call for a sexual assault that occurred on Jan. 15 in the area of Wellington Street and Simcoe Street. The poker player hosted an event where he met the female victim, police said. They allege the poker player sexually assaulted the victim sometime during the event. As a result of an investigation, police executed a search warrant at a residence in Toronto. They later arrested the poker player, who they identified as 39-year-old Daniel Kwon. He has been charged with forcible confinement, sexual assault, sexual assault with choking, possession of a Schedule III substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000 and three counts of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking.
