Toronto Police Arrest Suspect in Human Trafficking Investigation

Toronto police say they have arrested a man who allegedly trafficked two teenage girls last year. In a release, police said their Human Trafficking Unit began an investigation in Nov. 2025. It is alleged that the accused trafficked 15- and 16-year-old female victims “through a combination of deception, coercion, and control.” Police allege that the victims were forced to take sexualized pictures, which were then distributed online. One of the victims was also allegedly sexually assaulted by the accused. Investigators conducted a search warrant at an address in Toronto on Jan. 16, and the accused was located and arrested. Christopher Casilla-Pena, 27, is facing over a dozen charges including trafficking in persons under 18, possession of child sexual abuse and exploitation, and sexual assault among others.
