Tomas Cvancara Transfer Teased: Celtic Fans Await Firepower

The forward appears to be on his way to Glasgow from Germany after talkis between the Hoops and Borussia Monchengladbach Tomas Cvancara looks to be on his way to Celtic after teasing his imminent arrival in Glasgow. The Premiership champions are in talks with Borussia Monchengladbach over a deal for the towering forward. He's been allowed to miss training with the Bundesliga side in order to secure a move away from the club. And the 25-year-old has posted a snap of him seemingly on a plane bound for Scotland alongside his agent David Nehoda. Barring any unforeseen issues, a loan deal until the end of the season with an option to buy could be signed and sealed in the next 24 hours. That should mean Cvancara is available for Sunday's table topping clash with league leaders Hearts at Tynecastle. Cvancara spent the first part of the season on loan at Antalyaspor. But his time in Turkey was cut short after the club stopped paying his wages. Reports in Germany had claimed that Rangers were in the running to sign him, along with Serie A sides Hellas Verona and Cremonese. But Celtic are firmly in the driving seat and look set to bolster their attacking options as Marton O'Neill attenpts to reel in Derek McInnes' Jambos at the summit. Celts have also been linked with a move for Motherwell top scorer Tawanda Maswanhise after O'Neill was spotted on a scouting mission to Fir Park. Cvancara's arrival may put that on the back burner for now, however, with the Steelmen set to demand top dollar before considering letting the Zimbabwean depart North Lanarkshire.
