J. Michael Cole is a Taipei-based policy analyst and journalist. He was formerly a senior advisor on Countering Foreign Authoritarian Influence at the International Republican Institute. From 2014-2016, he was an employee of the Thinking Taiwan Foundation, a think tank founded by Tsai Ing-wen, the now-former president of the Republic of China (Taiwan).
