SUV and Tricycle Collide on Congressional Avenue, Quezon City: One Injured

One person was hurt in a road crash involving a sport utility vehicle (SUV) and a tricycle along Congressional Avenue at Pangilinan Street in Quezon City, early Tuesday morning, Jan. 20. According to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), the incident occurred at around 6:54 a.m. when the SUV sideswiped the tricycle, occupying one lane of the eastbound carriageway. MMDA traffic enforcers were immediately deployed to the scene to manage traffic and assist those involved. One person was reported injured in the collision and was attended to by MMDA traffic enforcers and responding ambulance personnel. The injured individual was later transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Authorities said the vehicles involved were towed from the area and brought to the traffic bureau for proper documentation and investigation. Traffic conditions gradually improved after the clearing operations, with the affected portion of the road cleared by 9:16 a.m. Authorities have yet to release other details of the incident.
