Spotify's "Page Match" Feature: Seamlessly Sync Physical Books with Audiobooks

Spotify is reportedly developing a feature called “Page Match”. The new tool will allow users to seamlessly sync their progress between physical books and their audiobook counterparts on the streaming platform. This unique feature facilitates seamless transitions between reading and listening. Unlike Amazon’s “Whispersync,” which is limited to Kindle and Audible formats, the app’s “Page Match” includes physical books, setting it apart in the market. The feature is currently in a beta testing phase and was discovered in the code of Spotify version 9.1.18.282. To utilize the tool, users will need to have the specific audiobook unlocked or purchased within their Spotify library. There is currently no official release date for “Page Match,” but its inclusion in the app’s code suggests a public rollout could be on the horizon for regions where Spotify audiobooks are already available.
