Sophie Turner on the Unique Perk of Being a Young Mom

The Game of Thrones alum—who shares daughters Willa, 5, and Delphine, 3, with ex-husband Joe Jonas—opened up about the benefits of having her kids early in life. “It’s really nice,” Sophie, 29, told The Guardian in an interview published Jan. 16. “I’m not worrying about my biological clock and all that sort of stuff.” And having her little girls also allowed her to focus on family life. “It just felt like the right break to focus on me, because I’d been a character for so long," she explained. “Nesting and being at home was amazing.” But her much-needed break from acting also presented career challenges. “But the flipside of it, and Covid didn’t help, was that this was a big break from the career,” she added, “And I’ve had to try to rebuild, in a way.” The X-Men: Dark Phoenix actress continued, “You don’t realize how important momentum is in a career, and I stalled it a bit.” More from E! "I'm unhappy with the way everything played out, especially when it comes to my children," she told British Vogue in May 2024. "They're the victims in all of this. But I think we're doing the best we can. I'm confident that we can figure it out. Joe is a great father to our children and that's all that I can ask for."
