Owusu has challenged Domfeh to a personal meeting instead of phone confrontations.
Solomon Owusu, Director of Communications for the United Party, has alleged that he was verbally abused by the founding President of the policy think tank, Africa Policy Lens, Dr George Domfeh, following his criticism of a research publication.
According to Owusu, he publicly criticised what he described as a misleading research report released by Africa Policy Lens, which he claims contained false information circulated to the public.
He said shortly after the criticism, he received a call from an unknown number. The caller allegedly introduced himself as Dr George Domfeh who is also Economics lecturer at the university of Ghana and verbally insulted him.
Owusu further claimed that after the phone call ended, Dr Domfeh continued to send him insulting text messages.
Speaking in an interview on Accra FM, which has since been shared on social media, Owusu said he challenged Dr Domfeh to meet him in person rather than engage in verbal attacks over the phone.
“I have an issue with Domfeh. They run a research organisation that circulates fake information, and I criticised it. He then called me and insulted me.
“I asked him why we couldn’t meet in person instead of fighting over the phone. He hung up and later sent me more insulting messages,” he stated.
