The Perth Scorchers proved too strong in their home Qualifier at Optus Stadium and they have secured a home final this Sunday. Perth posted 147, and while the chase stalled under pressure, Steve Smith once again stood up on the big stage, fighting hard as early wickets made the task difficult. The result means the focus now turns to the SCG, where this squad has built a strong record in finals cricket. Tuesday night in Perth did not go our way, but the Sydney Sixers’ title push is very much alive. After falling to the Scorchers in the Qualifier at Optus Stadium, the Sixers now return home with a second chance to reach the KFC BBL Final when we will host The Challenger at the Sydney Cricket Ground this Friday night from 7.30pm AEDT.
