Single's Inferno Season 5 Cast Revealed: Who Are the Netflix Contestants?

January just got a whole lot brighter, as it’s time for Single’s Inferno Season 5. Now that the first four episodes are out, we’ve put together details on all the cast members so far. Single’s Inferno has emerged as one of Netflix’s most popular dating shows worldwide, in part due to the cultural context. As opposed to fast-paced western shows like Love Island, viewers praise the more slow-burn, authentic connections that form. That being said, Season 4 featured plenty of romance, drama, and… swing incidents. Four new couples were formed in the finale, and now it’s the turn of a whole host of new singletons to head to Inferno island. As always, contestants can’t reveal their age of profession until they head to Paradise for a date, but it doesn’t take long for the first couples make it off the island. Single’s Inferno Season 5 cast makes major change Fans of the Netflix series complained that there were too many well-known faces in Single’s Inferno Season 4, and the creators promised they’ve fixed this with a more balanced group of contestants – although there are still a few big names amongst them. While casting for Season 5, producer Kim Jae-won said (via Star News), “Last year, I felt the limitations of social media casting, so I took to the streets. These days, the economy is so bad that there’s no one on the streets. “I went to places that are known to attract a lot of young people, but there was no one there on a Friday. We changed our strategy and made flyers the old-fashioned way. We put them up in gyms, hair salons, and restaurants that the cast members who fit our mold would likely visit, and waited.” Additionally, the producers revealed that Single’s Inferno Season 5 has the biggest number of cast members yet, with some strong female personalities. Below, you can find all the contestants so far: Kim Min-ji Rather than a social media influencer or model, Kim Min-ji is best known as a track and field athlete. She graduated from Chungbuk Sports High School and later obtained a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from Changwon National University. Her specialties are the 400 meters and 400 meters with hurdles, and she’s won multiple competitions over the years, starting in 2014 when she bagged first place in the 400m hurdles at the 43rd Spring National Middle and High School Athletics Championships. This isn’t Min-ji’s first time on TV, having previously appeared in competition shows such as Mystery Music Show Mask Singer and King of Survival: Tribal War. On Single’s Inferno, she says she’s confident and that her dating style is direct. She’s been single for a while and is looking for that romantic spark. Kim Go-eun Not to be confused with the actress of the same name, Kim Go-eun is a model who’s best known for winning runner-up at the Miss Korea beauty pageant in 2022. According to Chosunbiz, she graduated from Inha University and is the daughter of former national soccer player Kim Hyun-soo. Last year, rumors circulated that Go-eun and singer G-Dragon were dating after they were spotted at a PSG match in Japan, but G-Dragon’s representatives shut down the claims, saying they “are not in a romantic relationship. The two are not lovers but rather close brother-sister friends.” On the show, she says she has a cat-like face with a puppy-like personality – once you get to know her, she’s affectionate and warm. Youn Hyun-jae Youn Hyun-jae is coming onto Single’s Inferno Season 5 with a hopeful heart, admitting he hasn’t felt much excitement in life recently – which is exactly why he’s here. He’s athletic and competitive, working out as much as possible and bringing that same energy to any sport or challenge on the island. He leans toward youthful, sweet, and genuine women, and likes connections that feel sincere. Hyun-jae is also confident, saying he gets women asking for his number. Choi Mina Sue Choi Mina Sue is a model who became the first Korean to win Miss Earth in 2022, and the first to win one of the Big Four beauty pageants. Born in Australia, the 26-year-old has lived in South Korea, Canada, the US, and China, and attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where she majored in communication studies. Mina Sue’s experience led her to appear on the competition series Battle for Tenancy: Penthouse. As for dating, she’s not into extravagant outings and would happily go on a quirky chicken feet date if asked. Attractive traits she looks for in partners include full lips and broad shoulders. Woo Sung-min As someone who gets picked for the first round of Paradise dates, we quickly learn that Woo Sung-min was born in 1996, and works as an optician. We also see that he’s confident, as he tells Kim Min-ji that she’s pretty on the helicopter ride over. In his introduction, Sung-min reveals that he’s not the type to have fiery relationships. Instead, he looks for more calm, comfortable partnerships that tend to last for a long time. He wants to meet someone he can “vibe with and have great banter with.” Song Seung-il Another competitive contestant in Single’s Inferno Season 5 is Song Seung-il. As he says in his introduction, once he sets his sights on a goal, he’ll throw himself into it, and the same goes for his dating life. Seung-il says he’s not the type to get easily hooked on a woman, but whenever he has, he’s not failed. “I always seem to get whoever I want,” he says. She describes herself as proactive, saying if she wants something, she has to go after it. As a natural performer, she grew up dancing and was on the cheerleading team during middle and high school. Hee-sun is not afraid to say that she’s used to getting attention from guys, joking that she gets approached by men once every three steps. Despite this, she hasn’t found that special someone yet and is hoping to form a real connection on Single’s Inferno Season 5. Kim Jae-jin From the minute he sets foot on the island, it’s clear Kim Jae-jin is the joker of the group, entering with a nonchalant attitude. He reflects this in his opening statement, where he reveals that he gets called both mature and immature, and that he’s affectionate and humorous. This clearly works, as Jae-jin gets the most votes during the first round of Paradise dates. During his time in Paradise, he reveals that he was born in 1998 and works as a dancer, having majored in contemporary dance. Ham Ye-jin Kim Jae-jin chooses Ham Ye-jin for his date in Episode 1, and during her time in Paradise, she reveals that she was also born in 1998. As for her profession, she’s a freelance announcer for different companies, working as a municipal newscaster, an MC, and an event host. Ye-jin says she comes across as quiet and wholesome, a bit like the character Lady Ye-jin on TV. “But once you get to know me on a personal level, I’m really quirky, open, and affectionate,” she explains. Shin Hyeon-woo As someone who believes in fate, Shin Hyeon-woo is hoping to find someone who’s meant for him on the Netflix series. He brings confidence and a chill charisma to the island, believing he can hold his own in terms of “physicality and aura.” His introduction reveals he enjoys playing basketball, and that older women tend to describe him as “cute” – although he’s not sure why. Lim Su-been In Episode 2, we’re introduced to Lim Su-been, who is a confident, active guy who reveals that he’s been told he’s mature. He’s sure of himself when it comes to sports, exercising daily while enjoying swimming and playing baseball in his free time. Su-been’s ideal type is first and foremost someone tall, and he also says he wants someone alluring – referencing none other than Single’s Inferno host Lee Da-hee!
