Second-Gen K-Pop Stars Outshine New Artists on Recent Charts

While it is highly unusual for decade-old releases to take over new K-Pop songs on music charts, second-gen K-Pop songs have done just that on the new music chart released by Circle Chart. The chart in question, released recently, featured the top songs chosen by Korean noraebang (karaoke) goers in 2025, broken down by month. Out of the 16 songs on the chart, only a handful were new-age ones. BIGBANG was the most visible name, with seven features, including in the top two positions.
