RedMi Note 15 Series Arrives in PH: AI, Durability & Fast Charging

Consumer electronics company Xiaomi has officially unveiled its latest RedMi Note 15 Series in the Philippines, positioning the new lineup around durability, battery life, and AI-driven features. The launch, held on Jan. 15 in Cebu City, introduced four models: the RedMi Note 15 Pro+ 5G, RedMi Note 15 Pro 5G, RedMi Note 15 5G, and the standard RedMi Note 15. At the event, Xiaomi country manager Wayne Li said the new series was designed with everyday use in mind. “We have engineered this series to meet the demands of everyday use,” he said, pointing to hardware upgrades aimed at long-term reliability. A central theme of the RedMi Note 15 Series is what Xiaomi calls “RedMi Titan Durability,” which combines larger batteries, reinforced structures, and higher resistance to dust and water. The top-tier RedMi Note 15 Pro+ 5G carries a 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery paired with 100W HyperCharge fast charging. Reverse charging is available across the lineup. Both Pro models have received SGS Premium Performance Certification and are built to withstand drops, crushing, and bending. Xiaomi said the reinforced frame and multi-layer shock-absorbing design allow the phones to survive drops of up to 2.5 meters, while a fiberglass back panel improves impact resistance without adding significant weight. The series also meets IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust and water protection. The Pro+ 5G and Pro 5G models can reportedly withstand immersion in up to two meters of water for as long as 24 hours. All models include Wet Touch 2.0, which keeps the touchscreen responsive even when wet. On imaging, the Pro variants debut a 200-megapixel HPE image sensor with support for five focal lengths ranging from 23mm to 92mm. The RedMi Note 15 5G, meanwhile, features a 108-megapixel camera system with 3× optical telephoto. AI plays a larger role across the lineup, with features such as an ultra-clear portrait algorithm and AI-assisted post-processing. The Pro models introduce an AI Creativity Assistant aimed at simplifying photo editing. For performance, the RedMi Note 15 Pro+ 5G runs on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 platform and features Xiaomi’s IceLoop cooling system to improve heat dissipation. Other models use updated Snapdragon and MediaTek chipsets focused on efficiency. All variants come with Google Gemini and Circle to Search with Google. The Pro+ 5G also integrates Xiaomi’s HyperAI features for more personalized AI interactions. Connectivity has been expanded in the Pro models with Xiaomi’s Offline Communication technology, enabling voice transmission over long distances even without network coverage. The Pro+ 5G also includes the Xiaomi Surge T1S tuner to improve performance across Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and cellular networks. Display sizes range from 6.77 inches on the standard models to 6.83 inches on the Pro variants, with peak brightness reaching up to 3,200 nits. Xiaomi said the screens carry three eye-care certifications for improved viewing comfort. Audio has also been boosted, with the Pro+ 5G and Pro 5G offering up to a 400% volume increase, while the other models deliver up to 300% louder output.
