RedMagic 11 Air: Massive 7,000mAh Battery & 120W Charging Details Unveiled

RedMagic is set to launch a new sub-flagship gaming phone in China soon, the RedMagic 11 Air. So far, the company has showcased the design, revealed the SoC, and shared some performance-related teasers of the device. Now, the battery details have officially emerged. As the company shares, the RedMagic 11 Air will feature a 7,000mAh battery, which is an upgrade over the predecessor. The upcoming gaming phone will also feature 120W fast charging support, which is also an improvement over the 80W support found on the last-gen device (160W Anker Prime charger curr. $105.99 on Amazon). With "all-scenario bypass charging," RedMagic claims that the gaming performance won't see a significant degradation even when the device is plugged in. Speaking of which, Jiang Chao, the General Manager and Product Manager of the company, says that the Snapdragon 8 Elite of the 11 Air can "surpass" the current-gen Dimensity 9500. Of course, Jiang Chao notes that this performance claim is based on stability and not in terms of the overall performance. For those who missed our last coverage, RedMagic has revealed the average FPS from different games running on the smartphone, and the promotional materials promise impressive native gaming. One of the teasers has further highlighted the PC gaming emulation performance of the 11 Air. RedMagic claims that the built-in emulation tool will let users convert the phone into a handheld with just one tap. Pricing and availability details are yet to be officially shared by RedMagic, but the launch isn't far away.
