Realme P4 Power: Unveiling the 10,001mAh Battery Phone

What if your phone could double its battery life? That's what Realme wants to do with its next smartphone. The Realme P4 Power, which is likely to be exclusive to India, is set to launch next week. However, the phone's teaser website confirms that it will feature a 10,001mAh battery designed to last multiple days on a single charge. That longevity will depend on what you're doing, with Realme's testing suggesting it can handle around 23 hours of navigation app use (like Google Maps) and 32 hours of continuous YouTube playback. It also says it can last for 72 hours of phone calls, or over 38 days in standby mode. At 219 grams, the P4 Power is also light considering the battery power included. (The iPhone 17 Pro Max is 233 grams.) Realme says that's possible through what it calls "next-gen silicon-carbon anode tech," but it doesn't specify much about its process. Realme has shown off multiple concept devices with large batteries over the last few years, but this is the first time the tech has made it into a commercially available smartphone. In China, Honor beat Realme by launching the Honor Power 2 with a 10,080mAh battery. The handset isn’t expected to be sold outside of China, but it’s even lighter than Realme’s tech at 216 grams. You won’t be able to buy either of these phones easily because they’re exclusive to other markets, but it may signal a new battleground for phone manufacturers. Very few phones available in the US come with batteries over 5,000mAh; the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra has one, but the iPhone 17 Pro Max features a 4,823mAh cell.
