Rangers' Perfect Signing? Expert Backs Skov Olsen Under Danny Rohl

Rangers could have just made a statement signing in their search for silverware this season. That is according to ex-Aberdeen, Aston Villa, and Everton chief executive Keith Wyness, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, after Rangers signed Andreas Skov Olsen from Wolfsburg on loan for the rest of the season. The 26-year-old was unveiled to the Ibrox crowd before Rangers’ 5-0 Scottish Cup win against Annan Athletic. The winger becomes the third signing under Danny Rohl in the January transfer window, with the German looking to bolster his squad in a bid to win the Scottish Premiership title. Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast, Wyness thinks Skov Olsen could also benefit from the move to Ibrox. He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “Yeah, look, I think he’s had about 40 international caps and there’s no doubt he plays, but he’s not done that well at Wolfsburg. So I think that will be a big upgrade for Rangers and I think that having that experience in the squad as well is something that would be helpful. And I’m backing Danny Rohl to get the best out of him out of that. I don’t think he’s going to be buying any duds. “I think he’s going to be able to get the best out of a player who may have just not adapted to Germany well, but I think he could do very well at Ibrox. So yes, I’m a big fan of that particular signing.“ Rangers could sell star amid Andreas Skov Olsen arrival The addition of Skov Olsen to the Rangers squad may not be good news for one player, who has struggled to make an impact since his arrival. Oliver Antman’s future at Rangers is now uncertain, and the club could accept offers for the 24-year-old, just months into his time at Ibrox. Antman has started just six Scottish Premiership matches this season, with the Finland international yet to score a goal for the club.
