Concert organisers plan to sue the venue in Petaling Jaya following a January 10 incident. Venue management allegedly shut down the sound system at midnight, violating event permits allowing operations until 1 am. Organisers claim this caused reputational damage, humiliated artistes, and confused the audience. Legal action is being pursued for negligence and breach of agreement.

20 Jan - The organisers of the "Pentas RadjaWali Live in Malaysia" concert have announced they will take legal action against the event venue in Petaling Jaya, following an incident on 10 January when venue management suddenly shut down the sound system during the performance. Mubarak Akhtar Mohd Aris, a representative with over 30 years of industry experience, explained that the venue turned off the electricity supply at exactly midnight without any negotiations with the organising team. "According to the Selangor State Entertainment Enactment, entertainment events in halls are allowed to operate until 1 am. Therefore, the action of turning off the sound system at 12 midnight is unfounded and contrary to the operating permit," he said during a special press conference. Impian Al Fateh Sdn Bhd shared that the company, together with GIS Entertainment & Events and Infinity Love Creative Ventures (ILCV Events), decided to pursue legal action after the venue management damaged their reputation as organisers, humiliated the artistes, and caused confusion among the audience. "Following the incident, the organisers have held discussions with a panel of lawyers and are currently looking into taking legal action against the location management for negligence and breach of agreement," said Mubarak. He claimed that, apart from respecting the call to prayer and Isyak prayer times as previously reported, his party also faced several other technical issues which ultimately led to the incident. "We acknowledge that there was a slight delay, but it was due to technical problems beyond our control and not due solely to the organisers' shortcomings," he said. "The cause of congestion at the entrance is due to problems with the ticket system when there is a disruption in the ticket provider's system causing the confirmation process to be slow." He added that the delay in starting the performance was caused by the ticketing team that was appointed by the event premises, and not by the artistes. Meanwhile, the lawyer representing the organisers, Hasshahari Johari Mawi, said his party is currently finalising the amount of losses, including damage to reputation, to be taken to court. As an apology to fans, the organisers stated they are planning to bring back Wali Band for a special concert in Kuala Lumpur on 1 May. Audience members who attended the 10 January event are eligible to receive a special discount by presenting proof of purchase or their previous concert tickets.
