Prince William Faces New Restrictions on Electric Scooters in Windsor

Prince William’s change of location has turned into a wheel-y big deal. The Prince of Wales, 43 — who recently relocated his family from Adelaide Cottage on the Windsor Castle estate to Forest Lodge inside Windsor Great Park — is no longer permitted to use his electric scooter near his new residence. According to Windsor Great Park’s website, e-scooters, hoverboards, one-wheels and similar modes of transportation are not allowed. “For reasons of safety and traffic management, we do not allow motorised transport within the Park,” the website reads. “Aside from cyclists, the roads are reserved for residents and Estate workers.” “William used to love his e-scooter to get around the castle as there was no ban,” a source told The Sun on Friday, January 16, of William’s time at Adelaide Cottage. “But of course he’s more than happy and prepared to adhere to the rules on e-scooters in Windsor Great Park.” The father of three — who shares Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7, with wife Princess Kate — previously made headlines for riding his motorized scooter around town. He was even seen cruising on the compact vehicle to meet actor Eugene Levy when filming Apple TV’s The Reluctant Traveler. “This is your mode of transportation?” Levy, 79, asked King Charles III’s son as seen in a clip from the show. “It is ‘round here, yeah,” William replied. “It gets around quite nicely around here. It’s quite fun.” William, Kate and their kids began living at Forest Lodge as of last year.
