PIXERA Expands Ecosystem with Powerful GEN2 Media Server & Configuration Tools

AV Stumpfl has expanded its PIXERA media server ecosystem with the introduction of the new PIXERA four GEN2 platform, which is stated to deliver a significant increase in processing performance for real-time graphics, XR and AR broadcast workflows and virtual production environments. The new hardware is accompanied by updates across the PIXERA software platform and a suite of configuration tools designed to simplify system specification and deployment. Positioned as the most powerful solution in the range to-date, the PIXERA four GEN2 has been engineered to provide substantially more processing headroom than previous generations, addressing the increasing complexity of media server workloads. The platform is designed to support high-performance real-time content playback and processing, as well as IP-based video infrastructures that are becoming standard across broadcast, live events and permanent installations. As part of this evolution, the GEN2 platform supports advanced SMPTE ST 2110 workflows, including Rivermax-based implementations and compatibility with Matrix Video. Alongside the new hardware, AV Stumpfl is continuing the development of its software platform with PIXERA 26.1, which builds on the year-based versioning model introduced with PIXERA 25.x. The PIXERA four GEN2 range is also being extended with the introduction of the PIXERA four GEN2 RS, a variant optimised for rental and staging environments. Designed with durability and operational reliability in mind, the RS platform is intended for touring and temporary installations while maintaining full compatibility with the wider PIXERA ecosystem. Beyond media server performance, the manufacturer is placing increased emphasis on reducing complexity during the system design phase, and has introduced a new PIXERA hardware configurator that guides users through key specification decisions such as codec and resolution requirements, output configuration, redundancy strategies and storage needs, recommending an appropriate server configuration based on those parameters. In parallel, a new screens configurator has been developed to simplify the specification and ordering of AV Stumpfl projection screen systems by allowing users to define screen type, size, surface, frame and accessories within a single environment and generate clear parts lists and pricing.
