Parata Air, a new South Korean carrier, has launched commercial operations with AMOS, a maintenance and engineering platform. The system supports effective maintenance planning, execution, and regulatory compliance from the airline's inception. Parata Air, operating a fleet of four aircraft, aims to expand its AMOS usage to include financial management in a later phase.
Parata Air, a South Korean start-up carrier, has successfully gone live with AMOS, the maintenance and engineering platform developed by Swiss AviationSoftware, as it begins commercial operations and prepares for future expansion.
The airline launched operations with a fleet of four aircraft: two Airbus A330s and two Airbus A320s. At the point of go-live, one A330 and one A320 were already in service, while the remaining aircraft are expected to join the fleet in the near term. Parata Air currently operates domestic flights within South Korea and international routes to destinations such as Japan and Southeast Asia.
Parata Air adopted the AMOS Airline Edition as the foundation of its maintenance and engineering operations. The system became operational in November 2025, enabling effective maintenance planning, execution, and regulatory compliance from the airline’s first day of service.
“Going live with AMOS marks an important milestone for Parata Air as we expand with well-structured and compliant maintenance processes.
We chose AMOS as our core maintenance system from the start after confirming its strong alignment with airworthiness authority requirements. It also harmonises workflows and documentation across planning, engineering, line maintenance, and materials, providing the daily oversight and control we require,” said the airline’s Director of the Aircraft Maintenance Division.
As a new entrant, Parata Air benefited from a targeted and efficient implementation process. Several members of the technical team already had experience with AMOS, which helped accelerate system configuration and ensure clear alignment of processes.
The initial deployment focuses on essential maintenance functions needed for daily operations and regulatory compliance. In a subsequent phase, the airline plans to expand its use of AMOS to cover financial management, further enhancing the integration of its airline IT systems.
