Nintendo is reportedly planning enhancements for existing Switch games, potentially for a new console. Players hope for upgrades like 4K resolution and 60fps, particularly for titles such as Metroid Dread and the Xenoblade series. Updates for Pikmin and Super Mario Maker 2 are also speculated, with a desire for improved visual fidelity and performance across the board.
There are a LOT of first party games that could use updates. I kind of expected we would get them more often but finding out that a bunch of these were outsourced rather than done internally was disillusioning for me.
This is probably the new dripfeed. đ«
We are currently wrapping up another play through of Dread and I never thought I'd see the day that I'd start seeing it's age. I hope they do a lil 4K upgrade for that game too.
Now how about all the Xenoblade games next Nintendo please. 60fps is the big want but i also want a big res boost especially for handheld, XBX looks pretty fine in handheld but 1-3 look pretty bad in handheld especially the first game.
I'm feeling a Pikmin update is on the way next - Pikmin 4 did get those additional options out of nowhere not too long ago. so they've still got developers looking at the game at the very least.
And it would be nice if they added mouse mode support to all Pikmin games and Super Mario Maker 2. And maybe Metroid Prime Remastered to match Prime 4?
