THE governors of four northern regions of Namibia, Ohangwena, Omusati, Oshana and Kunene, are currently on a working visit in Angola to exchange knowledge and experience in maize and wheat seed production, as well as support for subsistence farming.
On Monday, Governors Kadiva Hamutumwa, Imms Shikongo, Hophni Iipinge and Vipuakuje Muharukua paid a courtesy call on the Acting Governor of Angola’s Cunene Province, Apolo Ndinoulenga, in Ondjiva. They also visited a farm in the Xangongo area to observe production levels and food security mechanisms.
The delegation will then proceed to Huíla Province, where the Namibian governors are expected to carry out an extensive work programme with the local government and visit a local company specialising in the sustainable development of agricultural systems.
