Tragic Nairobi-Nakuru Highway Collision: At Least Three Feared Dead

A road accident has occurred at the Diatomite area in Gilgil on the Nairobi–Nakuru Highway involving a matatu and a trailer. Motorist Association said at least three deaths are suspected, and several passengers are believed to be trapped in the wreckage. Emergency responders and police rushed to the scene as rescue efforts continued on Monday afternoon. Traffic was diverted around the crash site as rescue teams worked to free trapped passengers. Motorists were urged to avoid the area and exercise caution while approaching the section.
