Milano Cortina 2026 Unveils "Volare Together": The Paralympic Opening Ceremony Chain Song

Milano Cortina 2026 has announced “Volare Together,” the chain song that will conclude the Paralympic Opening Ceremony, scheduled for 6 March 2026 at the Verona Olympic Arena. A shared performance A central element of the performance will be Domenico Modugno’s “Volare (Nel blu dipinto di blu)”, one of Italy’s most internationally celebrated songs. The song was chosen to represent the core values of the Paralympic Movement – courage, inclusion, and the ability to overcome personal limitations – through a universal symbol of freedom, creativity, and aspiration. The final composition will be created using musical contributions sent in from around the world. “For the Opening Ceremony of the Paralympic Winter Games, we are developing a global artistic project,” says Vittorio Cosma, Composer and Musical Director of the Opening Ceremony of the Paralympic Winter Games. “The goal is to create a shared performance, where each individual contribution becomes part of a single, grand collective work.” How to participate Participation is open to everyone.
