Investigation Underway After Man Found Deceased Near Corowa Hospital

Police are investigating after a man's body was found inside a car outside a hospital on the Victorian-New South Wales border. NSW Police were called to Guy Street in Corowa about 5.30am on Monday after the man's body was discovered in the back seat of a car. Officers attended and established a crime scene around the Corowa 24-hour health service. Police from both NSW and Victoria are assisting with the investigation. The man's identity has yet to be confirmed. "Guy Street, between Evelyn and Tower streets, Corowa, has been closed and members of the public are asked to avoid the area," a NSW Police spokesperson said. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the man's death. Victoria Police said it's believed the vehicle was registered in Victoria. "A post-mortem will be conducted to determine the cause of death," a Victoria Police spokesperson said. The NSW Health Department has been contacted for comment.
