Malolos City Cracks Down: Curfew for Minors Intensified

The Malolos City Police have intensified the enforcement of curfew hours for minors as part of efforts to maintain order, discipline, and public safety in the city. Police patrols and monitoring operations were conducted on Sunday, Jan. 18, in various parts of Malolos City, particularly in public areas and poorly lit locations. Malolos City Police Chief Lt. Col. Rommel Geneblazo said the Malolos police station continues to strictly implement existing local ordinances aimed at safeguarding public welfare, especially that of the youth. Among these is City Ordinance No. 15-2023, which imposes curfew hours for minor children from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. within the city. Minors found violating the curfew are either given reminders or verbal reprimands, or are immediately turned over to their respective barangays. Parents or guardians are also summoned and informed of the incident, with authorities stressing their responsibility to guide and closely monitor their children in accordance with existing laws and regulations. Geneblazo said the enforcement of the ordinance forms part of a broader campaign by the Malolos Police, in partnership with the local government, to ensure a safe and orderly city, particularly for the protection of the youth. He also urged parents, guardians, and the community to actively cooperate in the enforcement of local laws and ordinances, noting that collective action helps strengthen discipline, morality, and responsible living in the city.
