M62 and M6 Traffic Disruption: Slip Road Closed After Incident

Emergency services have been forced to close a busy slip road from the M62 to the M6 close to Warrington following an incident. The slip has been shut from the M62 eastbound, at junction 10, onto the M6 southbound, at junction 21A, this afternoon (January 18). Traffic monitor Inrix said: "M62 Eastbound exit slip road blocked, queueing traffic due to accident at J10 M6 J21A (Croft Interchange)." National Highways said on social media platform X the incident was due to a vehicle leaving the carriageway. A spokesperson said: "The M62 J10 eastbound slip road near Houghton Green to M6 J21A southbound is CLOSED due to a collision where a vehicle has left the carriageway.
