Two fire engines attended the incident alongside paramedics. A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "A car travelling on the M62 East slip road towards the M6 South has left the highway, down an embankment, and collided with trees.
"One casualty is trapped, but is believed to be conscious. North West Ambulance Service are also in attendance. Fire crews are working with ambulance colleagues to stabilise the vehicle and access the casualty." The person involved has since been released from the vehicle.
