Lions Lock In Young Talent: RF Schoeman Signs 3-Year Contract

NEWS: The Lions have locked in the young tighthead prop RF Schoeman for the next three years. Since making his senior debut for the Lions, Schoeman has shown he has a point to prove. He can be brutally aggressive and a powerful scrummager. The 22-year-old progressed through the Lions academy and featured for the Lions Under-20 team in 2024, earning both the Lions Junior Player of the Year and Breakthrough Player of the Year awards. He attended Hoërskool Frikkie Meyer, from where he moved straight into the Lions junior structures. He made his professional debut for the Lions in the 2024 Currie Cup, appearing in six matches. In October 2024, he started featuring in the European competitions and has since made 14 appearances for the team.
