The Malaysian, a men's singles bronze medallist from the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, faces a tough task, with the draw throwing up an opening round clash with H.S. Prannoy of India, the Thomas Cup and SEA Games team gold medallist. Lee owns a protected world ranking from the BWF due to an injury-hit 2025, which saw him end his season early to focus on rehabilitation.
