POPULAR ex-RTE presenter Laura Woods is set to launch a brand-new show on Dublin’s Q102.
The Home Stretch is designed to “keep Dublin moving” with “laughs, conversation, and everything listeners need to brighten their day”.
It will launch on February 9 and air between 2pm and 6.20pm.
Speaking about her new afternoon show, Laura said: “I am thrilled to join Dublin’s Q102 and bring The Home Stretch with Laura Woods to life for Dublin listeners.
“The journey home is such an important part of the day, and I love the idea of helping people unwind, enjoy great music, and finish
their day on a high.

Mum-of-two Laura began her career at RTE in 2000, presenting a wide range of shows, including the National Lottery game show Winning Streak.
She later joined Virgin Media where she was a panellist on Midday and co-presented Ireland AM.
The presenter said she looks back on her decade with Ireland AM with fondness as she made “some great friends and that’s an incredible experience”.
She added: “It has been incredible to be able to spend more time with the children and to be around at weekends.”
Q102 said in a statement: “Laura combines her wealth of experience with a warm, engaging, and relatable tone that will undoubtedly connect with listeners right across the capital.”
Dublin’s Q102 is part of Onic, which is home to a number of Ireland’s radio stations, such as Dublin’s FM104 and Q102, Cork’s 96fm and C103, Live 95 in Limerick, LMFM and U105 in Belfast.
‘FULL ON’ FAMILY
Away from the airwaves, Laura is married to architect Mark and has two sons Ben and Alex.
She told RSVP Live it’s a “full on” house, with “wild, active, energetic kids” who break everything.
“Their little personalities really come out and they’re just so witty.
“There’s only two years between them and they both have similar interests – they’re very into sport,” she continued.
Laura shared that one of the things she fell in love with about her husband was his passion for his job.
