The accident involving a construction truck transporting sand from Abotanso to a project site in Kumawu, lost control and crashed into a hairdressing saloon and a storey building resulting in the loss of lives, causing extensive damage to properties. Mr Anim, who is also the chairman of Parliament’s Human Rights Committee, visited both the accident scene and the Hospital on Sunday morning to interact with victims. He said he was devastated by the scale of the tragedy and explained that the visit was to personally assess the situation, interact with victims receiving treatment, and console the affected families during their moment of grief. “I was deeply saddened to learn of this unfortunate incident. The loss of lives is heartbreaking, and my thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved families as well as those battling for their lives in hospital,” the MP stated. He extended his heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased and wished the injured victims a speedy and full recovery. Mr. Anim assured the families that they were not alone and pledged his unwavering support to them throughout this difficult period.
