Kruger National Park Reopens for Day Visitors Amidst Improving Weather

Day visitation to South Africa’s iconic Kruger National Park will resume on Monday on better weather conditions following the devastation caused by deadly floods last week. The situation has improved significantly in the Limpopo and Mpumalanga Provinces, including areas of popular tourist attraction, but the northern part of the wildlife reserve still remains inaccessible, as several roads and bridges have been washed away. These areas will remain closed until it is safe to reopen them, South African National Parks said Sunday.
