DCC Technologies Named Official Kensington Distributor in South Africa

Maker of the iconic slot lock solution for laptops, Kensington, has signed a new distribution agreement with DCC Technologies. Kensington makes a range of products including peripherals, docking stations and more. DCC is only the third official distributor in South Africa selected by Kensington. You have likely heard the name Kensington in relation to your laptop. The brand is perhaps best known for the slot locking mechanism that you will find on most laptops. The brand makes more than just locks, though. Kensington makes docking stations, privacy screens, fingerprint scanners, and other peripherals. Local ICT distributor DCC Technologies has announced that it has struck a distribution agreement with Kensington. This makes DCC Technologies the third official distributor of Kensington product in South Africa and the SADC region. “Our channel partners are looking for quality, reliability, and performance and Kensington delivers all three,” says Andrew Harris, chief sales and marketing officer at DCC. “Their focus on design, sustainability, and user-centric innovation perfectly aligns with DCC’s mission to equip partners with solutions that empower productivity and protect the modern hybrid workforce. We’re excited to make these world-class products more accessible across Southern Africa.” DCC will make a comprehensive range of Kensington products available to its IT resellers and system integrators. The Kensington lock is still popular today, but not because it’s highly effective. A pair of bolt cutters or strong wire cutters would make short work of the looped cable that slots into the lock. However, the solution acts as a deterrent from opportunistic theft.
