Kawit Tricycle Operators to Receive Free Franchise and Boat Registration in 2026

CAVITE – The local government unit (LGU)of Kawit is offering free franchise and registration to its tricycle operators and fishermen for 2026. Under Municipal Ordinance 9-26, series of 2026, tricycle drivers and operators can avail of the free franchise renewal until Feb. 26. In a Facebook post, Mayor Armie Aguinaldo encouraged tricycle operators to take advantage of the opportunity. She also reminded them to always prioritize their safety and that of their passengers while on the road. Fisherfolk, meanwhile, are advised to coordinate with the Office of the Municipal Agriculturist to process the free registration of their fishing boats this year, under Municipal Ordinance No. 10-26, series of 2026. Fishery is one of the major agricultural sectors in the Cavite coastal areas, including Kawit.
