Jacob Elordi and Margot Robbie Reveal 'Mutual Obsession' During Wuthering Heights Filming

Jacob Elordi and Margot Robbie have shared their “mutual obsession” while working together on Wuthering Heights. The co-stars gushed about sharing the screen as the iconic, turbulent lovers Heathcliff and Catherine. Reflecting on her on-screen chemistry with the Euphoria star, Robbie said, “I’m so codependent with people I work with, and I love everyone so much, and I’m always that person who’s so devastated when a job’s over and I never want it to end. I think I developed that quite quickly with Jacob, too.” Robbie went on to recall, “I remember the first couple of days on set, he would just be always in the vicinity where I was. But like in a corner, watching Cathy.” By the third day of filming, the Barbie actress shared, “I found myself starting to look around to see where he was.” The Oscar-nominated star went on to explain how she felt “really unnerved and unmoored” when Elordi was not nearby while filming. “And I felt quite lost, like a kid without their blanket or something,” the actress added. Robbie also admitted, “I don’t know if… I’m trying to get into Kathy mode, or that’s just how I am as an actor.” Elordi then chimed in to agree with his fellow Australian star, stating, “We have a mutual obsession.” Gushing about Robbie, he continued, “If you have the opportunity to share a film set with Margot Robbie, you’re going to make sure you’re within 5 to 10 meters at all times, watching how she drinks tea, how she eats her food. … She’s just like an elite actor.” Director Emerald Fennell’s Wuthering Heights is loosely inspired by Emily Brontë’s 1847 novel of the same name.
