Jackie Fox Appointed RTÉ's New Washington Correspondent

Jackie Fox has been announced as RTÉ's new Washington Correspondent. Ms Fox has worked as a journalist in RTÉ for 14 years, reporting on a range of international and domestic stories. She is the creator and presenter of RTÉ’s US podcast States of Mind and has also presented some of the station's flagship programmes, including Morning Ireland and This Week. During her career she has reported for RTÉ from countries including Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Ethiopia and Seychelles, on issues surrounding human rights and climate change. Ms Fox said it is a privilege to take up the role, particularly during such a pivotal time in US history. "I'm really looking forward to reporting from this frontline and examining what it all means for Ireland and the world. "As we know, news from DC reverberates faster than ever through the online world. My focus will be on delivering clear, trusted reporting from broadcast to digital," she said. Ms Fox will begin her new role in March.
