Jabra launched its new Evolve3 Series headsets, the 75 and 85, featuring AI-powered noise cancellation for enhanced professional communication. These compact, lightweight designs address poor audio quality concerns, offering clear speech and all-day comfort. The headsets utilize AI to isolate voices from background noise, improving accuracy for AI prompts and reducing listener fatigue. They also boast adaptive ANC and a boomless microphone design.
Let’s talk about headsets. Yes, I know they can be a bit of dry subject, but the type of headset you use for at work is about to change in a big way and it’s all down to the rise of AI. At least, that’s the view of Jabra, the Danish company behind some of the most advanced enterprise headsets on the market.
Today, Jabra announced its new flagship Jabra Evolve3 Series a foldable and compact range of headsets in two variants: the 75 and 85. The Evolve3 85 headset is designed for complete immersive focus, while the Evolve3 75 is an on-the-ear model designed for lighter wear and where greater environmental awareness is necessary. Jabra claims both models are the most compact and lightweight designs in their class, setting new standards for comfort and portability.
As more of us return to the office and work in a hybrid way, the need for a high-quality headset is essential when making Zoom and Teams calls. However, headsets are increasingly being used when we are interacting with our computers by using AI assistants like Microsoft Copilot or dictation software such as Wispr Flow.
Main Pain Point
Poor sound quality remains a top concern for today’s professionals. According to Jabra’s research, 99% of knowledge workers say poor audio quality impacts their online meetings and call quality. It’s ranked as the number one pain point in headset use.
MORE FOR YOU
However, despite this, some 46% of knowledge workers still use cheap consumer headsets for daily tasks, but their headsets often lack the clarity, comfort and compatibility required for professional communication. Jabra’s Evolve3 Series aims to address these challenges by providing clear speech in any environment and a comfortable all-day fit.
AI applications also demand a lot from a headset because they need to present clear speech and filter out unwanted noise so the commands are heard first time, every time. No one wants to have to keep repeating themselves to a computer. That’s hardly boosting productivity.
Lower Fatigue Levels
The human brain is an incredible piece of technology. Even if audio isn’t clear, the brain can shift up a gear and start processing the audio faster to fill in the gaps or filter out any distortion or background noises. However, all that brain power comes at a price in the form of increased fatigue.
For example, have you ever noticed how tired or sleepy you can feel after a long video call? That’s often because your brain needs work harder to decode the audio and understand what you are hearing. Also, our brains aren’t used to hearing sounds that appear to be inside our heads, so it takes more processing power to make sense of things when they aren’t coming through a speaker or another human.
Now Jabra has developed a new class of enterprise headset that can counter these issues by providing the clearest audio quality possible with the ability to filter out the ambient noise of an open-plan office or a busy café. For the first time, Jabra has also developed sidetone with ANC.
Sidetone is when the audio signal from the microphone picking up your voice is fed into your ear so you can literally hear yourself speak during a call and don’t end up shouting. Some enterprise headsets offer sidetone, but few, if any, have sidetone with ANC. That’s what Jabra has managed to achieve with the Evolve3 Series and it should translate into less brain fog and improved concentration levels.
As well as sidetone, the new headsets include other innovations like Jabra’s open spatial audio, which can be used with calls. This means the audio you are hearing sounds as if it is in the room. It gives the brain a helping hand with its workload by making sound more natural and conversational.
No More Boom
The Jabra Evolve3 Series is unusual because the two variants don’t have a boom microphone. Jabra’s research discovered that many people don’t particularly like boom mic but they’ve always been necessary to get the best quality sound with a headset.
With the Evolve 3, Jabra pulled out all the stops and created a boomless headset that was clear enough to access to AI and the real-time adaptive noise cancellation was added. The design is specifically engineered to meet the needs of today’s hybrid professionals and give them something to listen to when not working.
The Evolve3 85 over-the-ear model and the Evolve3 75 on-the-ear design each provide professional-grade voice clarity and are designed for all-day comfort, albeit with a twist of contemporary Danish design. Some people must wear their headset for up to eight hours a day.
A comfortable fit is essential for the enterprise marketplace. Whether you are switching between meetings, concentrating on complex projects or using your voice to activate GenAI tools, Evolve3 has been designed to be worn all day and match the flexibility of the modern work environment.
Distraction-Free Conversations
The Evolve 3 Series powered by Jabra’s ClearVoice, a system that uses AI-driven deep learning technology that’s been trained on more than 60 million real-world sentences to learn how to isolate speech from background noise with a high level of accuracy. The technology is inspired by the way the human brain filters out the noise of a crowded room, plus it borrows technology used by Jabra’s parent company GN in hearing aids.
The deep neural network model processes layers of sound data to distinguish the user’s voice from the surrounding noises without the need to use a visible boom arm. The result is clearer calls, no ugly boom mic and far less background noise. This AI-driven approach works with the hardware and enables discreet mic placement while maintaining the highest level of clarity.
In real-world environments, Jabra says it can deliver AI-ready performance with more than 9 out of 10 words being picked up accurately for AI prompts, helping users complete more tasks, issue more commands or dictate more messages correctly the first time. Voice input can be up to three times faster than typing prompts on a keyboard, making it a practical option for staying productive in mobile or screen-free situations.
Both variants of the Evolve3 Series also include Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation that responds in real time to the surrounding environment to adapt to changing sound levels. Unlike most headsets, Jabra says the ANC it has developed for the Evolve3 75 and 85 continues to block out distractions even when making calls, not just between them.
Work And Pleasure?
Unlike traditional enterprise headsets, Jabra Evolve3 85 and Jabra Evolve3 75 offer a minimalist design with cleaner lines and are available in Beige or Warm Grey finishes. Jabra says this makes the Evolve3 a true crossover headset that can take users from the office to home.
The Evolve3 Series is certified for use on major UC platforms and ships with a pre-paired Bluetooth dongle for the highest quality wireless connectivity, as well as security by using encrypted audio. The headsets also support BT Native, Bluetooth LE and Auracast for direct connection to laptops and other devices supporting those standards.
Another innovation coming with the launch of the Evolve3 is Jabra’s Plus Management software. Now IT teams can manage Jabra devices remotely, push firmware updates and configure settings through a central dashboard. End-users can also use the new Jabra Plus mobile app with its customization options like equalizer controls for listening to music, wind noise reduction and fast firmware updates from their smartphone. A desktop version of the Jabra Plus app will be available later in 2026.
Both new Evolve3 headsets also feature user-replaceable batteries for extended product life and compliance with repair legislation. With up to 25 hours of call time and 120 hours of listening time from a single charge, the Evolve3 85 headset has a lot of stamina. There are also wireless charging and fast-charging features that can boost the onboard battery with up to 10 hours of power from just 10 minutes of charging.
Calum MacDougall is president of Jabra and says, “With Jabra Evolve3, we’re continuing our mission to shape the future of professional audio for the hybrid workforce. This series brings together industry-leading voice technology, a design people want to wear and seamless integration with the tools and platforms professionals rely on every day.”
