RTÉ Choice Music Prize: Irish Album of the Year Nominees Revealed

THE NOMINATIONS FOR Irish Album of the Year have been released. This year marks the 21st RTÉ Choice Music Prize which celebrates the best in Irish recorded music. The winning act will receive €10,000, a prize fund provided by The Irish Music Rights Organization (IMRO) and The Irish Recorded Music Association (IRMA). All shortlisted acts meanwhile receive a specially commissioned award and the winner will be chosen by a panel of eleven Irish music media professionals and industry experts. The nominations for other categories, such as Artist of the Year and Song of the Year, will be announced throughout the week. The Irish Album of the Year 2025 will be announced live from Vicar St on RTÉ 2FM in a special show 7-11pm on Thursday, 5 March and tickets are on sale now. Recent winners have included Fontaines D.C., Lankum, and CMAT, who is once again nominated for this year’s award.
