There are all kinds of perils in the jungle….. spiders, snakes, and scorpions. And then there are leaks. The kind that come from having a full season pre-recorded rather than live to air. 10 celebs entered I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here last night on 10 and every one of them had been named in the press. Two were tipped here on Friday, but some radio outlets chose to leak the whole shebang -presumably including those still to come. Nevertheless it was a fun premiere with another mix of ghastly trials and puzzled looks from campmates awkwardly trying to recognise one another when they had NFI. Or Luke Bateman telling Rachel Hunter he thinks he has heard the name Rod Stewart. Seriously? Rebekah Elmaloglou and Deni Hines bowing to Barry Williams aka ‘Greg Brady’ was very nearly as priceless as Chrissie Swan recognising Maureen McCormick aka ‘Marcia Brady’ in S1. Special points to Concetta Caristo for surviving the “toughest” grave trial against Gary Sweet and Dyson Heppell. Julia Morris said, “What they’ve done this year is create a series of cliffhangers. So what you think you know about the show and how the show rolls out, that’s not necessarily how it’s going to go. “We might see some of the trial one night. Bringing people (audience) from one show to the next is with what we want to do. I think once everybody tunes in to episodes one and two they won’t be able to resist. “It’s a perfect moment for you and your mates, or it’s a perfect show to sit and laugh by yourself, and it’s a perfect show to sit down and watch with your family, where you don’t have to explain perhaps, what certain sexual positions are…. “There’s not a lot of shows on the air that, you can sit down and actually watch with your verying-aged children. With everybody on multiple screens there’s very few shows that will bring you together in the lounge room but this is definitely one of them.”
