HR Connect 2026: Elevating HR for Africa's Business Growth

Experts and professionals in Ghana’s human resource sector are set to convene once again for the 2026 edition of the HR Connect Conference. The annual event, organised by HR Network Africa, will bring together HR practitioners for a day of networking, high-level discussions, and skills development. This year’s conference is themed “From Certification to Competence: Why Elevating HR is Critical for Business Growth and Competitive Advantage in Africa,” highlighting a renewed focus on the strategic role of human resources in driving organisational success across the continent. Reflecting on last year’s programme, Dr Irene Stella Agyenim-Boateng, Vice Chairman of the Public Services Commission, underscored the importance of a holistic approach to employee well-being. She noted that prioritising staff welfare is critical to attracting and retaining top talent—an observation that strongly resonated with participants. Building on this foundation, the 2026 edition will further explore how strengthening HR practices can give organisations a competitive advantage. The programme will feature expert-led panel discussions, interactive workshops, and platforms for professionals to share best practices and innovative strategies. HR Network Africa says the conference aims to equip participants with practical tools and insights to reposition human resource management from a largely administrative function to a strategic driver of business growth and competitiveness across Africa.
