The Other Songs Welcomes Harri Davies as New Head of A&R

The Other Songs has recruited Harri Davies to the team as head of A&R. Most recently serving as head of A&R at RCA Records UK, Davies oversaw a roster featuring Myles Smith, Jade, Charlotte Plank, Tyla and Bring Me The Horizon. The news of the high-profile appointment for the independent music and entertainment company follows the announcement earlier today that Jerome Porritt has been appointed as RCA head of A&R. Before joining RCA, Davies spent several years as senior director of A&R at Concord Music Publishing, where he was instrumental in signing multiple Grammy and BRIT-winning artist-writers including Tyla, Chase & Status, Flowdan, Walshy Fire and Imanbek. Davies began his career as an engineer and producer, a background that has informed his approach to talent development. He secured signings with songwriters and producers such as Sammy Soso, Jake Gosling, Neiked, Biff Stannard, Yoz Beatz and Jin Jin. Prior to Concord, Davies led the A&R department at the independent publisher Bucks Music Group. There, he managed an eclectic roster including Erol Alkan, Mala, XTC and Roni Size, while overseeing publishing ventures for labels such as RAM Records and Phantasy Sound. Following eight years in business, it was recently announced that The Other Songs has been appointed to manage the music catalogue of Andrew Lloyd Webber.
