First, the app may soon send an alert the moment the ring disconnects, displaying the specific battery percentage at the time of signal loss. This would help users immediately discern whether the ring has died or simply moved out of range. Second, Samsung is working on a ‘lingering disconnection’ reminder. If the ring remains offline for an extended period, the phone will nudge the user to check its location. Why it matters Smart rings lack screens, obviously, which makes them uniquely prone to being misplaced or running out of battery without the user noticing. Currently, a Galaxy Ring user might not realize they left their device on a bathroom counter or that the battery died until they check the app hours later.
