Walk-In Flu & Covid Clinics Now Open Across the Island

Anyone still waiting for their flu jab or Covid-19 booster is being is being urged to drop into a series of walk‑in clinics running across the island this week. The clinics are designed for people who have struggled to get to their GP or a pharmacy, with health officials saying they are keen to make the process as easy as possible. Each session will run from 10:00 to 16:00 GMT, starting with St Clement Parish Hall, before moving to St John on Tuesday, St Peter on Wednesday, St Saviour on Thursday and St Brelade on Friday. Islanders can choose whichever location suits their routine, even if it is not their home parish. The call comes as almost 6,000 people have already received their Covid-19 booster this winter. Public Health Jersey said 5,948 doses were administered by 12 January, with just over half of islanders aged 75 and above taking up the offer. Flu vaccines are available for adults aged 65 and over, care home residents, pregnant women, carers, health and social care workers, and anyone aged between six months and 64 years who has a clinical risk. Covid-19 boosters are offered to adults aged 75 and over, care home residents and anyone aged six months and above who has a suppressed immune response.
