Finding Her Edge: Wasaga Stars Arena Shines in Netflix Series Premiere

WASAGA BEACH – Wasaga Beach is set to appear on screens across Canada and around the world as Finding Her Edge, a new young adult television series filmed at the Wasaga Stars Arena, premieres on Netflix in Canada on January 22, 2026. Based on the bestselling YA novel by Jennifer Iacopelli, the eight-part series follows three sisters navigating ambition, rivalry, and family dynamics in the high-stakes world of competitive figure skating. In March 2025, the production was filmed in the Town’s state-of-the-art twin-pad Wasaga Stars Arena, which served as the setting for the series’ National Championship. Hosting the series is a part of the Town’s strategic and diverse approach to economic development. In March 2025, Council approved a new Film Policy aimed at attracting film and television projects by streamlining approvals, encouraging local participation, and enhancing the Town’s competitiveness as a filming location. To celebrate the premiere, the Town is partnering with the Wasaga Beach Figure Skating Club to host free, community viewing parties at the Wasaga Stars Arena lobby (544 River Road West). Two episodes will be screened each week over four consecutive Thursdays, with two viewing times available each evening.
