Leonardo DiCaprio Not Ready to Propose to Vittoria Ceretti, Sources Say

Leonardo DiCaprio may be testing girlfriend Vittoria Ceretti’s patience when he snubs on special occasions like the Golden Globes. The One Battle After Another star, 51, brought his mother, Irmelin Indenbirken, as his date to the Beverly Hills awards show on Sunday, January 11 instead of the 27-year-old model. “Leo told Vittoria he’d take her, so when he showed up with his mom instead it was a bit of a shock,” a source tells the National Enquirer. “They’re still together, but this is classic Leo. His mom always comes first and everyone around him knows it.” Though the actor is in his 50s, “he still runs nearly every decision by her and clearly, he still wants her by his side for all the big moments,” says the source, adding that it’s got to be very frustrating for Ceretti. “She’s managed to stick around a lot longer than most of his other girlfriends, but that doesn’t mean she’s guaranteed to end up with a ring on her finger.” DiCaprio “certainly dangles that carrot” in front of Ceretti though, the source tells the Enquirer. “There are times that it really feels like he’s close to taking that step,” reveals the source. “But then he does things like this, taking his mom as his date instead of her, and it becomes pretty clear he’s still not ready to make her his priority.” After more than two years of dating, “no doubt she’s starting to question how long she can keep waiting,” says the source.
