The former Tottenham and Everton midfielder, who has been working hard to stay in shape, has reportedly received four offers from La Liga clubs and could decide to embark on a new adventure in Spain after a challenging stint in Italy. At 29 years old, the Englishman still has plenty to offer, although his recent years have been marked by limited opportunities. Since February 2023, he has made only one appearance as a substitute, and nearly three seasons have passed since his loan spell at Turkish side Besiktas. His return to Everton also didn’t go as planned: injuries hampered his performance, and the club chose not to renew his contract in 2024. Later, he received an unexpected offer from Como, where he reunited with Cesc Fàbregas. However, his sole appearance ended with a red card, and his contract was terminated a few months later. Now, Dele Alli could have a fresh opportunity in Spain. According to Fichajes, four La Liga clubs have shown interest: Real Oviedo, Sevilla, Elche, and Getafe. Oviedo is reportedly the first to make a move, seeking an “immediate boost” to improve their position at the bottom of the table. The club values Dele for his “offensive leadership” and “international experience.” The offer would be a contract until the end of the season, with an extension option if certain objectives are met. Sevilla is also exploring the possibility, although their financial situation limits flexibility. The Andalusian club would propose a short-term deal with a potential extension based on the player’s performance, viewing Dele as a versatile attacking midfielder capable of providing tactical options without significantly increasing the wage bill. With these offers on the table, Alli has the chance to revive his career and prove that, despite recent ups and downs, he remains a player with the quality and experience to compete at the highest level.
