Crestron introduced its 80 Series Touch Screens, designed for smart home control with Crestron Home OS. Available in 8-inch and 10-inch models, these interfaces offer centralized access to lighting, climate, AV, and security. Featuring advanced responsiveness, proximity detection, and integrated audio, the series aims to provide a user-friendly and elegant control experience across various residential applications.
Crestron Electronics has announced the 80 Series Touch Screens, a new family of dedicated residential control interfaces designed for use with Crestron Home OS. The company said the new line is intended for smart home environments including luxury residences, multidwelling units, hospitality suites and marine applications.
The 80 Series is available in 8-inch and 10-inch models, with both wall-mounted and tabletop configurations offered in black and white finishes. According to Crestron, the touch screens are designed to provide centralized access to lighting, climate, audiovisual systems, shading and security from a single interface.
“For decades, Crestron touch screens have been the benchmark for dedicated control in the world’s most remarkable homes,” said Georgio Galaris, manager of residential marketing at Crestron. “With the 80 Series, we’ve taken everything we’ve learned — speed, reliability, audio quality, sensing, and design — and refined it into the most responsive and elegant touch screens we’ve ever built. This is the gold standard, perfected for today’s smart home.”
Crestron said the 80 Series delivers its fastest and most responsive touch screen performance to date, built on the company’s established control platform. The interface is designed to provide consistent navigation and system feedback across multiple rooms, allowing users to access scenes, schedules and controls without relying on mobile devices.
Native integration with Crestron Home OS provides a standardized user experience throughout a residence. Crestron said this approach is intended to make system operation accessible to homeowners, guests and family members with varying levels of technical familiarity.
The 80 Series supports both PoE+ and Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing integrators to select the appropriate installation method for each project. Wall-mounted and tabletop options are designed to support both new construction and retrofit installations, with placement options ranging from kitchens and bedrooms to media rooms and entryways.
“Designers and integrators need a touchscreen that can go anywhere the homeowner wants control, without compromising the look and feel of the space,” Galaris said. “The 80 Series gives them that flexibility; clean, architectural wall mounts or elegant tabletop options, all with the same refined aesthetic and performance.”
Additional features include radar-based proximity detection to wake the screen when a user approaches, an ambient light sensor for automatic brightness adjustment, and upgraded microphones and speakers for paging and intercom use. A physical microphone on/off button with an LED indicator is included to provide visual confirmation of privacy status.
Crestron said the 80 Series Touch Screens for residential applications are expected to be available globally beginning in Q2 2026 through authorized Crestron residential dealers and partners. The company also noted that its Cevo Mini Remote, designed to complement Crestron Home OS systems, is now shipping.
